I found this site when looking up FLCL, and was surprised by how many different guns were in FLCL.

Trigun is also an interesting entry.

It’s amazing how much the Desert Eagle has been used pre-video came popularity. I guess I never really noticed.

Oddly enough, the IMFDB and the IMCDB, while serving similar purposes, have utterly different organization. The IMCDB pages better support lots of entries, but aren’t as convenient, while the capsule detail lists on the IMFDB do a very good job of being concise. They both work at their purposes, but you’d think they’d be more similar.

Only today? Christmas has come early for you!

See you in something like a week. Remember to stop browsing occasionally for food, water, human contact, etc. All that garbage.

It’s incredibly popular in the media due to the immense size. Either because it doesn’t look excessively small in the hands of really big/tall actors, or because it’s menacingly-large to attract attention to itself.

Check out the usage of the Beretta 92 series... It’s mind boggling.

Or, better-yet, the 1911...

My cousin has one of those in .50. I think the G-men used ‘em in “Matrix.” Personally, I think they’re kind of silly...

Laughable in real life. Good for almost nothing except as a range queen and maybe if you are part of a personal security force that needs to stop a car from time to time.

Yeah. That brushes up against what Rover and I were talking about yesterday, aesthetics, features and functionality. At the end of the day, guns are implements for performing tasks and a Desert Eagle, IMHO, is sort of like owning a V8-powered chainsaw.

LOL. I have referred to it as a Boss Hoss Motorcycle.

I was thinking about Boss Hoss as I typed “V8-powered chainsaw.” True.

One of my buddies had a gold tiger patterned one in .44mag. It was...ridiculous.
